PAIR est un programme destiné aux structures de résidences françaises afin de favoriser l’accueil d’artistes, créateurs et créatrices étrangers.
Ce premier appel à projets s’adresse aux lieux de résidences situés en France métropolitaine et ultramarine souhaitant accueillir des artistes du continent africain.
Avec PAIR, l’Institut français s’engage auprès des structures de résidences situées en France métropolitaine et ultramarine pour les soutenir dans leur ouverture internationale, en leur permettant d’accueillir des artistes étrangers. Pour son lancement, ce nouveau programme soutiendra l’accueil d’artistes, créateurs et créatrices du continent africain avec la volonté de renforcer les liens entre les communautés artistiques françaises et africaines dans de nombreuses disciplines dont les arts visuels, le spectacle vivant, la littérature, le cinéma, etc.
Pour postuler à ce dispositif, la structure de résidence, en duo avec l’artiste, dépose un dossier de candidature. Ensemble, ils ou elles proposent un projet de recherche et de création qui nécessite la venue de l’artiste en résidence en France pour une durée de 1 à 3 mois, entre octobre 2024 et décembre 2025.

Les candidatures doivent obligatoirement être déposées par la structure d’accueil sur la plateforme IFprog.

PAIR is a new program designed to encourage French host structures to welcome
foreign artists in residency.
This first call for projects is open to residency structures located in the Metropolitan French Area as well as in French Overseas Territories, wishing to host artists and creators from
the African continent.
With PAIR, the Institut français is making a commitment to residency structures in mainland France and the French Overseas Territories to support their international expansion, by enabling them to host foreign artists. For its launch, this new program will support the hosting of artists and creators from the African continent, with a willingness to strengthen the ties between the French and African artistic communities in a large number of disciplines, including, among others, the visual arts, performing arts, literature, cinema and more.
In order to apply, the residency host structure, in a duo with the artist, shall submit a research and creation project that requires the presence of the artist in France, for a residency of 1 to 3 months, between October 2024 and December 2025.

Applications must be submitted by the host organization on the IFprog platform.
